Content is the ‘killer app’ of your blog - and keeping your blog fresh and regularly updated with interesting, useful, entertaining content that is relevant and targeted to your prospects and audience is a challenge every blogger faces.
With the changing, evolving, multi-media nature of blogs today, it no longer is easy to list out the kind of content that’s suitable for most blogs. Some rely on text content. Others on audio podcasts. And lately, web video has opened up many exciting possibilities.
No matter what form your content takes, it needs to be consistent, relevant and valuable in one way or another to your blog readers.

All these forms have been used on successful blogs. The content may be presented in various formats - text, audio, movies, pictures or any other.
Make Your Content Plan
While at this stage, get clarity on the way you will add content to your blog.
1. Is the content going to be created by you, or will you outsource it?
2. If you plan to outsource it, who will create it, and how much will it cost? What lead time should you factor on using to get content back in time?
3. What kind of content will you use - text, photos, graphics, audio, video, combinations?
4. How long, extensive and detailed will your content be?
5. How frequently will you update your blog?
6. Who will add content to your blog (yourself, a webmaster, automated)?
Again, your content plan will depend upon your strategy for blogging. A personal stream of consciousness blog will have different content requirements from a business blog or platform blog.
