Good post, Dr. Mani.
People can learn alot from you.
You never moan and groan.
You say positive things, create a good atmosphere and roll with the punches.
I’m learning alot from you!!!!

Very, very true! The good thing about “working for someone else” is they help you out - ie Google Adsense, high ranking Squidoo Lenses with easy modules that you can quickly create a good resource. This is the GOOD side of working for someone else - and can rocket you ahead to where you want to go.

I can clearly remember the excitement when I realized the money my website was generating for the first time with Google Adsense, and how I scurried to add it to all of my pages - Bonanza! More recently, I got another surge of excitement when i realized that I could just create content on Squidoo - and not have to worry about fooling anyone, SEO monkeying about - just make sites about topics and they rank well!

The BAD side to this has been starting out with free webspace - what’s wrong with free? “Working for” freeyellow, and 150m.com - both free webspace providers - meant I built up traffic and links to their address - and then they charged me for exceeding the bandwidth - if I got too much traffic, I’d have to pay for it!

I think diversity is the key, working a bit for Google, a bit for Clickbank, a bit for Paypal, a bit on my own newsletter and websites, a bit on Squidoo lenses - etc.

Lotta work, doing nothing, hanging out, being self employed online!

Dr. Mani - how you can add ONE operation, or take care of ONE project raising funds and awareness for Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) on top of all that is beyond me!

Kudos for dragging me kicking and screaming to create my first Squidoo lense - “Dr Mani Rawkkkks!” - LOL, that’s the name of my first lens - now I have made over 700 of them.

Keep up the great work, keep yourself perched on the leading edge of what’s going on online - and keep wearing your heart on your sleeve - no pun intended!

All my thanks
