In 2004, I did a 26-week mentoring program under the great marketing genius, Jay Abraham.
Over the course of 6 months, he taught me a lot of mind-expanding stuff. I put a lot of it into action. It was the time I was creating and launching a series of niche marketing products.
The lessons learned helped to grow my business by 300% that year - from a high 5-figure level into low 6-figures… in net profit.
I had MULTIPLIED a not inconsiderable investment in Jay Abraham’s coaching within 12 months - and was feeling very pleased about it.
This momentum should have continued.
Last year, profit growth was almost flat. I didn’t quite understand. After all, I still knew everything that Jay taught me 4 years ago. Why weren’t things working?
Today, as I watch the second disc of Jay Abraham’s “Billion Dollar Weekend” event in Beijing, scribbling notes furiously on a legal pad, one thought keeps flashing back into my mind over and over again…
Why Didn’t I Do THAT?
One component of the program is “20 Marketing Mistakes”. By my count, I’m making at least FOURTEEN of them!
And now, bright and clear, I know why profit growth is flat. I am NOT doing what I KNOW I should be doing.
So I’m going back to business school. With Jay Abraham as my long-distance mentor. The recordings of my 26-week mentorship are in the bookshelf, gathering dust. They’ll be brushed off. So will the two 3-ring binders full of stuff I got during that program.
I’m going to be reading for HOURS every week. And taking notes. Putting ideas and concepts into action.
As I do it, I want to share some of it with you - if you want to hear about it.
If you do, sign up for this newsletter…“Dr.Mani on Jay Abraham”
More important, if you get an opportunity to train under Jay Abraham, or read his books or listen to his tapes/CDs, don’t miss it. Just failing to implement what he already taught me has cost my business dearly over the last 12 months.
Imagine how much you could be losing by not knowing at all!

I would be surprised to find any person or company who isn’t making at least one of the mistakes. I know myself, I make many because I focus on certain areas of my business more than others. Going back to re-study is always good as it opens our eyes to how we can improve.

Every contact I have had with Jay Abraham has I learned something simple and profound that I could immediately apply to my business.
