People are quick to judge others.
And offer opinions, suggestions and advice.
Even when others are MORE advanced, successful and knowledgeable than them.
Often, the advice comes from the stand or position or level where they are at.
Not from the perspective of where the OTHER person is at that time.
Hence, both sides are frustrated.
It happens in Internet business too.
The ‘advisor’ is upset that his/her input is ignored or laughed away.
The ‘advisee’ wonders why everyone ELSE thinks they are better qualified to run his/her business.
But a strategy, business model, even tactical execution will differ based on where one’s business is at a point in time.
What’s perfect for one business may be grossly inappropriate for another.
I saw a very nicely reasoned post that addressed the strategy of an expert Internet marketer - but ignored one thing… the current standing/status of that expert.
The critic pointed out that said expert could not achieve these things if he had to start from scratch today using that strategy.
But the point is he doesn’t have to.
He already crossed that hurdle.
Long ago.
And is now at another level.
Where a different set of processes matters.
That’s why ‘blueprints’ and ‘roadmaps’ have limited value.
Unless you’re starting out at the exact same point.
With the exact same resources.
And towards the very same goals.
Maybe not even then.
