It must be more than 25 years ago that I visited the Borobudur, but the scene is burned into my eyes. A massive, very impressive and dazzling splendor.
How could such a structure ever be built?
From my hotel window in Yogyakarta, I could see the Merapi and its eternal plume of smoke. Which was mesmerizing.
From Soho I took a night trip through the mountains on horseback to see the sun rise from the edge of the vulcano Bromo.
As you see, I can imagine how impressive your trip must have been.
