Thinking, dreaming and planning all have a role in achieving your purpose. But they are not enough. You need to take action to make things happen.
A powerful purpose, tied in with a passion, can be incredibly motivating in getting things done. In the vortex of such powerful forces, it is hard to stay apathetic or inert.
But there are variations in how fast, how big, how effectively and how soon you will achieve your purpose.
I have constantly faced criticism about how painstakingly slow progress has been along my route to achieve my purpose - to help children from under-privileged families receive expensive heart operations.
Some of it is justified. The rest isn’t - because circumstances and resource limitations restrict the pace of progress.
The keys are then to mobilize whatever you require, keep an upbeat ‘can do’ attitude, and persist along the path you choose to reach your targets and achieve your purpose.
Some people on your team will want to move faster. Others may hold you back. Overcoming obstacles and vaulting past hurdles isn’t always easy.
But doing it is necessary… if you are to achieve your purpose.
