7 Bloggers With Influence
A short list of bloggers who had the most influence on me in 2007 - along with the reasons for this.
- Seth Godin - The biggest ‘Purple Cow’ has been a thought leader and influencer for years. Just dip into ANY part of his blog and it will be apparent why. No wonder his blog readership exceeds 95% of mainstream print magazines.
- Guy Kawasaki - His interviews with people who are changing the world have created paradigm shifts, and I’m proud to list him among my friends and influencers. My picks for best interviews in 2007 - this one, this, and this. He also introduced me to Dr.Paul Farmer through his biography, “Mountains Beyond Mountains“. Inspiring.
- Chris Brogan - What can I say? Chris really ‘gets’ this social media thing - and is expressively communicative about it. A true blogger with influence, and I study him at every opportunity.
- John Reese - Yes, he’s now ‘officially’ a blogger, with his launch of BlogRush and the Income.com blog. Always inspiring, John taught me once again the power of thinking big and backing it with massive action. No, I’m not yet a BlogRush fan - but always will be a Reese groupie!
- Rich Schefren - He influenced me in 2 ways, positive and negative. The lessons from watching the buzz build over his manifestos were worth a lot. I also learned from Rich how NOT to let attention turn into dismayed frustration - and how NOT to comment on someone’s blog (and how to recover when you do stumble - see comments!)
- Hugh Macleod - The Gaping Void blog is a powerful message about combining passion and fun into purposive cartooning with influence. Plus Hugh got me thinking about global microbrands in a way that resulted in the trilogy of ‘Dr.Mani’ websites… DrMani.name, DrMani.biz and DrMani.org
- Justin Kownacki - Unconventional? Rebel? Individualist? Or all? Don’t know. Justin’s blog, his video shows and posts on various socia media always grab my attention. And get me thinking. That’s influence.
Who are your favorite bloggers? Who has your attention? Who influences you?
Why?

Thanks for the list. I have not heard of all of them and it gives me some extra possibilities both for learning and for links!
