Kolkata Knight Riders crashed to the lowest IPL total of 67 all out. On a day when nothing just seemed to going right for the team no batsman could stand some superlative bowling from the Mumbai Indians. Shaun Pollock particularly bowled beautifully to get three early wickets. After that, it was all downhill for the KKR batsman. The two highest scorers were Saurav and Agarkar. A full house at the Wankhede got only half their money’s worth as the show was well and over in just a few overs. Just like the Chennai Super Kings the other day Kolkata Knight Riders couldn’t simply do anything right to keep Jayasuriya in check.

The battle for a spot in the semis is becoming quite interesting. With four teams CSK, Daredevils, Mumbai Indians and KKR all on vying for a spot. The whole mix can become even more interesting if the top two teams Mohali and Rajasthan Royals lose a few matches from now. The other two teams - DC and RC  can add to confusion by winning a few matches to salvage some pride. If all these happen then it would become tough to decide on points alone and then the run-rate rule will become important. At that point scores like yesterday’s match of KKR will come back to haunt them.
