Rain played spoil sport in match between Delhi an Mohali. The Delhi openers Gautam and Sehwag got off to a rollicking start hitting sixes and fours at will. They were helped by several dropped catches and misfieldings and lot of luck. But then the rain gods intervened. It started with a steady drizzle and soon become a steady downpour. It reletented for a few minutes and it was decided to reduce to match to 18 overs but the rains started again and continued for a long time. Then the match was reduced to 8 overs each and the match was decided on the D/L rule.

Delhi now face an uphill task to qualify into the semifinals.
