After the dismal performance of the team in the IPL it was expected that heads would roll. But, the gentleman that Laxman is not even the bosses could find a suitable reason to get him out of the Deccan Chargers outfit without looking like villains. Laxman had sacrificed his ICON status which would earned him 5-6 times of what he got.  But, the one time he stepped out of line and hit back at Afridi’s outburst against him, he has been sacked, that too just before the start of the Aussie series. His replacement - Adam Gilchrist.

Now, we will have to see the fate of Afridi…
