Preity Zinta was upset at the constant rumours about her while the IPL was on. She said that she was heavily invested in the IPL Mohali franchise and was a serious business woman. She was no airy-fairy fool. She was involved in every department right from bidding for franchise, to picking players to, to supporting her team through out the tournament.

The semi-final loss was heart-breaking considering that the team had played so well in the league stages. But these things do happen and there was a whole year to prepare for the second edition and this time we will do a better job of it. She said, it was constant gossip and rumours that got her down. Through out the tournament she was dressed in team colors and not even once had she conducted herself as a movie star, yet people talked nonsense and she was upset that she was not taken seriously. It was insulting to her as a woman she said.
