The dates of the 6 million dollar Champions League have been changed and now they will be held from Dec 3 to 10. The venues also stand changed and now will be held in Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai.
The earlier venues were Delhi, Mohali and Jaipur. December is the coldest month and there is a real risk of fog in these cities. So, the changed dates resulted in changed venues too.
The teams that will be participating include - IPL finalists Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals from India, Western Australia Warriors and Victoria BushRangers from Australia, South Africa will send the Titans and Dolphins, Middlesex from England a team from Pakistan will be participating in this inaugural event.
All participating teams will get an appearance fee. The teams are divided into 2 groups and the top teams from th groups will play in the semis.
Players who played for two teams like Albie Morkel and Michael Hussey have their contractual obligations and they will need to take their call based on that.
Future editions of the Champions League will have teams from more countries and the tournament will move from country to country based on the spectator interest and other factors.
