Andrew Symonds is an aggressive batsman, bowler and fielder. Symonds is a right-handed batsman and he also bowls off spin or medium pace, making him a good all-rounder. He is an exceptional fielder and has scores of run-outs effected to his name. He is very agile for his size and weight, has excellent reflexes, is able to take catches well and has a powerful and accurate throwing arm.

Andrew Symonds has a had some bad experiences during the last tour when he was reportedly taunted by the Vadodara crowd.  Symonds and his team-mates retaliated by repeatedly provoking Harabhajan Singh and other Indian team members. The last Indo-Australia will go down in history one of the most acrimonious ones. Hopefully by the time Andrew joins the IPL and plays  for the Deccan Chargers Indian crowds would have warmed up to him.
