The owners of Deccan Chargers are considering removing Afridi and Laxman after their very public spat over the  captaincy and performance of the team in the first edition of IPL. Deccan Chargers finished last in the tournament with just 2 wins from 14 matches.  Afridi was not too successful with just 81 runs from 10 outings. Laxman was injured was most of the tournament. Even before his injury it was quite clear that Laxman was not suited for the shortest version of the game.

Deccan Chargers owners are checking the contracts and seeking expert opinon to find how they can get rid of these players from their team with breaking any contractual obligations.
